Baby showers are for fun and laughter – and games are part of the celebration!  Here are a few games to include next time you end up hosting a bash for the mother to be:

An all time fave is ‘Don’t Say Baby!’ A clothespin is attached to a sleeve or hem of each guest, and every time someone uses the word baby the first one to call her out (by yelling “Don’t say baby!!!”  gets to steal her pin(s). No wonder that game is a favorite, it’s easy for guests of all ages to play.

Here’s one that is also appropriate for all ages and works well with groups of all sizes. A little more complex, it’s called  the ‘Baby Shower Price is Right’ game:

What’s Needed:

  • An index card and pencil for each guest.
  • An assortment of baby products purchased from the store. (Save the receipts as proof.)
  • Don’t forget products for the new mom, too!

Assembly:

  • On your master list, number each item, name the product, and show the price beside the number.
  • Print this information in large letters so it will be easier to show everyone.
  • You can either display all the products at one time, or bring them out in groups.

Rules:

  • Just like the rules on the TV show, whatever price estimate is closest to the exact price without going over wins a point.
  • If someone guesses the exact price, they get two points.
  • The person with the most points at the end of the game wins a prize.

Bonus for new mom: She gets to keep all the products!

Never heard of these games, but they do seem like a lot of fun.
