I was never a huge Holly Hunter fan. She’s the type you love to hate, weighing in at maybe 90 pounds soaking wet, gorgeous hair, attitude… I’m hooked, however, on her TNT series ‘Saving Grace’. She’s smart, sassy, sexy – and she has an angel on her side.
Of course the angel is kind of scruffy, spits sunflower seeds and has the unlikely name of Earl. But he brings her coffee fresh from Columbia, water from springs in the Andes, ancient hangover cures – and he’s intent on saving her soul.
This isn’t a sappy Lifetime show. It’s edgy, heart pounding, sexy and dark; Grace Anadarko is no innocent. She has a past with hurts hidden deep, but is utterly determined to live life to the fullest. Grace indulges wholeheartedly in everything good girls aren’t supposed to: she drinks like a fish, flashes her elderly neighbor every morning through her bathroom window and carries on a torrid affair with her partner – yet remains mysteriously pure of heart through it all.
And she laughs, laughs, laughs! The deep throated, load, raucous laugh is a trademark Holly brings to the show along with her usual load of sass – and carries the entire show through, week after week. Her irreverent tone towards the angel that appears in her life is shocking, and Earl finds out he’s in for the ride of the ages handling this petite blond with the heart of a cop.
Grace shares her ‘last chance angel’ with an inmate on death row; and her Catholic priest brother, forensics expert best friend and Earl are determined to bring them together. What for we don’t know yet, but the journey is exhilarating!
Tune in to watch Saving Grace on TNT on Mondays at 10/9 central, and catch up on all the past episodes online.

I’m no fan of Holly Hunter either Grace, but now you’ve tickled my curiosity. I’m gonna try on an episode for size. Thanks for the tip.
