If you’ve loved Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series, Remember Me? is worth a read. The good thing about Kinsella’s characters is they are so easy to relate to! Both Rebecca Bloomwood and Lexi Smart are women just like us. They’re quirky and ambivalent and just a little nuts.
In Remember Me?, Lexi Smart wakes up in a hospital and doesn’t quite recognize herself. The last three years of her life are mystery. She has no idea where this perfect body, hair, set of teeth and Louise Vuitton bag came from. The last thing she remembers is being at a club and trying to flag down a cab, with frizzy hair, boots that don’t quite fit right and snaggled teeth. She’s a whole new person and she doesn’t know herself.
Lexi slowly starts to piece together her new life. She’s got a perfect, handsome, rich husband, a great job – and all her old friends are now under her management at work. She realizes she hadn’t been a very nice person. And she’s horrified by the new Lexi.
The twists and turns in the story are fun. She’s not only got a husband but she’s got a boyfriend who happens to work side by side with her husband. Her little sister went from a sweet, innocent child to a rude, obnoxious teenager. Her mom hasn’t changed much, but now Lexi can see all the issues from a different point of view.
This is a pretty typical happy ending type story but what’s attractive about all of Sophie Kinsella’s books is they make you think a little. This story is about a woman getting back to the core of who she really is. It’s about finding our way back to our real selves. It’s something any woman can relate to, and makes you question your behavior. Remember Me? is absolutely worth the read. Pick up a copy of Remember Me? by Sophie Kinsella at Amazon.

Thank you Kathleen, I’m gonna look for this book.
I have a few authors that I follow (I call them my usual suspects) but every now and then, when they have nothing new, I try an unknown (unknown to me).
I’ll keep Remember Me? in mind.
Just bought the book and it’s WONDERFUL !
