Nicholas Sparks is a true homegrown prodigy, an author who has been on the New York Times #1 Best Seller list for the past 10 years. Now he brings us another great story – and much like his previous novels, you will not be able to put this book down.  If you are not familiar with the admittedly handsome Nicholas Sparks, he is quite possibly the most romantic male writer, this country has ever seen.  He has got to be in touch with his feminine side to be able to deliver such heart-stopping romance!

Sparks continues in this tradition with his latest book, “The Lucky One”. The story features a combat fighter named Logan Thibault, who is on-duty in Iraq when he finds a picture of a woman buried in the dirt. He can’t seem to find the owner of the photograph, which starts being viewed by his friends as a lucky charm.

Upon finishing his tour Logan cannot seem to get the picture out of his mind, and begins a search to find the woman in the photo.  He winds up in North Carolina where he finally locates Elizabeth, the divorced mom of a young son. From there the story gets hotter as well as suspenseful, thanks to her ex-husband and the fact that Logan keeps the photo a secret from her for some time.

Unlike many of Spark’s other great novels, this one is not a “tear jerker” per se, but it does warm the heart incredibly and in true Spark’s style. Tender romance is the name of the game here with a bit of action and mystery.

If you are a Sparks fan, you are in for a treat with this one, and if you are new to his novels then you may become one of his biggest fans from reading “The Lucky One”! Check out Sparks’ official website and vote for your favorite character from his books.
