Get a copy of March’s issue of Vogue! Our new first lady, Michelle Obama is not only on the cover but she proves she is definitely IN vogue.

She’s the classiest woman in the public eye, hands down. There’s no other words to describe her fashion sense except simply stunning. The end results are classy, elegant, and beautiful.

No matter how many designers try to dress her up, she shows that less is more. Her face and hair are the marks of a true and natural woman, and it’s refreshing to see a real person that we can relate to finally in the limelight of the fashion scene.

The life and the personality of Michelle Obama is featured with every newspaper and magazine. Fit, tall and statuesque; her daily workout begins at 4AM.  It pays off, obviously – her off the rack clothes fit just right and she was chosen as a winner of Vanity Fair’s 2008 International Best Dressed List.

In the eight inner pages of the photo shoot, the pieces she wears were actually from her closet. She models a collection from J. Crew, which inspires another inexpensive way to achieve the Michelle look for the fall.

Some of America’s lesser-known fashion designers have gained global recognition because of her. Jason Wu, Thakoon, Maria Pinto, Narciso Rodriguez or Zero and Maria Cornejo have had the good luck to catch Michelle’s eye, but she is just as comfortable in her off the rack slacks and tops as she is in a ball gown.

We can take a cue from Michelle‘s classy, casual style. You can still look chic on the cheap and use the same items over and over without being redundant. Use, reuse, mix and match your wardrobe to get the same understated yet undeniably fashionable effect!

Take a peek at the J. Crew collection here.
