It wouldn’t be too hard-pressed to find a style change as simple as the look of our handbag. We self-respecting trend setters know deep in our hearts; we should look much further than a big name and instead seek something that performs well for quality and storage. Carrying a bag that looks overstuffed is not a cool or chic move.
One new collection caught my attention quite by accident while visiting a boutique at the mall. It turns out that they are already are the rage in London and I sense it is going to be even bigger here soon.
Emily Cheetah is obviously a big fan of Hollywood too. Her striking, original designs for Spring/Summer 2009 collection gives homage to Marilyn Monroe and the characters she played. This signature line is operating under the company name of Cheet London.
Monroe was such a hit in the movies. Nothing beats Sugar Kane in ‘Some Like It Hot’ and Lorelei Lee in ‘Gentleman Prefer Blondes’. Emily obviously felt the same way by creating Sugar Frame, Lorelei Mushroom and other paraphrased characters in her collection.
Beside the catchiness of the name game, you will adore the quality. I was happily surprised to see that besides being eye-catching, every handbag is totally functional for all the things we carry. The collection is made with soft leather with some of the bags with added metallic. Each bag matches the character. They are ideal for daywear.
It appears that the Hollywood scene is beginning to take notice. I have seen several of the top stars on the Red Carpet, like Keira Knightly, carrying a Cheet London. Deep down inside, there’s a little of ‘Marilyn’ in all of us. Fill that void and take a peek at these fabulous bags.
