With all the drama taking place this season in fashion, you can make an impact by following one simple rule – find the basics that work for you and spin the outfit in different directions with accessories.

The collections arriving for the new summer lines are filled with elements of Desert Nights or bold animal prints, cramming in a journey to Kenya, Marrakesh, Tahiti and other exotic places. You can head into summer full force by cleverly focusing on the positive feelings that come from updating your look, using the items you already have and finding the hippest, most in style accessories possible to accent your own personal wardrobe.

The crossover points between the items already in the closet and updating them to these exciting and chic looks can only be achieved by using accessories. These garnishments play upon the current trends and save you from purchasing an entire new wardrobe.

For instance, take a pair of white slacks and simple white tee. These two basics can be made into several outfits by adding bright splashes of color, a stylish belt, funky jewelry, a ruana wrap or scarves.

An enameled metal on leather cord for your neck, a slimming belt, some sandals; and voila, you’re set for lunch or a movie. Take the same basics, and instead add a bright colored ruana, bold necklace and bracelet and metallic wedgies and you are ready for the evening on the town.

Make fashion fun and creative by finding the endless ways to develop your original look and yet fit it in with the mode of time. A good accessory wardrobe has longevity that will be incorporated in years to come no matter what arises.

You can locate many trimmings at the mall, in a catalog or on-line. Chicos often has a continual collection of unique belts, jewelry and other accessories that are right on target.
